On August 5, 2025, the West Virginia Mediation Center held a press conference to announce its accomplishments over the past year, highlighting the successful resolution of a record number of disputes through the mediation process.Founded in 2010, the West Virginia Mediation Center has become a trusted resource for individuals and organizations seeking to resolve conflicts in a peaceful and efficient manner. Over the past year, the center facilitated over 500 mediation sessions, resulting in positive outcomes for over 80% of cases.One of the center's most notable successes was the resolution of a long-standing property dispute between two neighboring landowners. Through mediation, the parties were able to come to a mutually beneficial agreement regarding the use of a shared driveway, avoiding costly and time-consuming litigation.In addition to its work with individuals, the West Virginia Mediation Center also provides training and education for professionals in the legal and mental health fields.
