Additionally, the electronic filing system will allow for faster communication between parties, as documents can be filed and accessed instantly online.Chief Justice of the Oklahoma Appellate Court, John Smith, spoke about the benefits of the new system, stating, "We are excited to bring our appellate court into the digital age with this new electronic filing system. This will not only make the appellate process more efficient for all parties involved, but also increase transparency and accessibility to court documents."Attorneys who have already had the opportunity to use the new system have praised its ease of use and convenience. "I was able to file my appellate brief in a matter of minutes, rather than having to print out multiple copies and deliver them to the court in person.
