The event provided an opportunity for Indigenous peoples to celebrate their heritage and share their traditions with the broader community.Meanwhile, in Grand Rapids, the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi hosted a panel discussion on environmental conservation and tribal sovereignty.
