The initiative, titled "Mediate Kentucky," is a collaborative effort between the Kentucky Department of Dispute Resolution and local mediation organizations to expand mediation services and raise awareness about the benefits of alternative dispute resolution.According to officials, the Mediate Kentucky initiative will focus on increasing access to mediation services in underserved communities, promoting the use of mediation in resolving legal disputes, and providing training and resources for mediators across the state. The initiative will also work to connect individuals and organizations with qualified mediators who can help them navigate conflicts and reach mutually beneficial agreements."We believe that mediation is an effective and efficient way to resolve disputes, and we are committed to expanding access to this valuable service for all Kentuckians," said Sarah Collins, Director of the Kentucky Department of Dispute Resolution. "Through the Mediate Kentucky initiative, we hope to empower individuals and communities to resolve their conflicts peacefully and constructively."As part of the initiative, the Kentucky Department of Dispute Resolution will be hosting a series of informational sessions and training workshops for mediators, legal professionals, and community members interested in learning more about mediation.
